About Coloring History
Coloring History started with a simple observation: kids will happily spend an hour coloring a picture of a scientist, but they almost never get to learn who that scientist actually was.
Each book in the series takes one real person and tells their life in 18 moments. Every moment gets a full-page picture to color and a short, true story page a six-year-old can read. The facts are checked against real biographies. The hard parts, like slavery in George Washington Carver's story or Einstein having to leave Germany, are told plainly and gently rather than skipped.
The books are written and published by Benjamin Blair in Denver, Colorado. Ben spent twenty years helping companies tell their stories before turning to the stories he cared about most. When he isn't working on the next book, he's usually reading about whoever comes next.
